You can still be part of We Show the Salary. Join us a Community member to show that you're actively exploring salary transparency in your organisation, whether you're in the early stages of this work or you're already showing the salary on most of your job ads.

Most employers don't flip a switch to showing the salary overnight – change like this can take time to plan, implement and embed.

Community members get access to our toolkits, business cases, best practice resources and employer networks – all designed to bring real value to internal comms and change processes. We can also collaborate with you on projects, team talks and other initiatives that help you on your journey towards We Show the Salary accreditation.

Who can join as an In Progress member

Any employer or recruitment business exploring salary transparency, or actively working towards showing salary info on every job ad, can join as an In Progress member.

​

Some Community members are still at an early exploratory stage . Others are already showing salary info on 90% of their job ads and working on the final 10%. What every member has in common is that they're moving in the right direction.

​

When you join, we'll ask where you're currently at and what your next-step goals are. This helps us offer the right kind of support for the stage you're at.

How will Community membership help me? 

 

Community membership is designed to support team members and internal comms in organisations that are on a salary transparency journey. As a Community member you'll get:

• Access to business cases, toolkits, best practice resources, case studies and more – to help you plan, implement and communicate change.

• Connections to other employers who are already showing the salary on every job ad – so you can learn from their experiences and get there faster.

• Recognition that you're actively working on salary transparency, well ahead of potential legislation to make salary info on job ads mandatory.

Our We Show the Salary Employer and Supporter logos can only be used by organisations that have already taken the pledge to show salary info on every job ad.

How to join as a Community member

Community membership is free for charities and registered Community Interest Companies. Other types of organisation pay an annual fee based on the number of employees they have in the UK.

 

The annual Community membership fee is set at half of the annual fee for accrediting as a We Show the Salary employer, which means your Community membership fee will be:​

£25 for 1-49 employees
£50 for 50-99 employees
£75 for 100-249 employees
£100 for 250+ employees

​

Bespoke collaborations, such as team talks and partnership support, are priced separately to suit your needs.

 

If you go on to take the We Show the Salary pledge within 12 months of joining or renewing as a Community member, we'll deduct that year's membership fee from your accreditation fee.

These fees contribute to the running costs of the We Show the Salary campaign, including the information and resources we develop to help employers on the journey towards salary transparency.
